James Marshall Littrell

James passed away peacefully after a long and caring life. He leaves behind his wife, Sheila, daughter Adriana, granddaughter Diana and many friends and professional colleagues. James worked for 40 years as a health care financial executive, including positions with Stanford Children's Hospital, The Mercy order in Burlingame and Catholic Healthcare West in San Francisco. He retired in 1994 and lived in San Mateo until his passing. An avid traveler, James also enjoyed golf, keeping up with the news, spending time with family and discovering and sharing great restaurants. James was born in Oklahoma and the family moved to California for work. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Peggy, and son, James Jr. James will be remembered always for his kindness and gentle spirit. He has been laid to rest at Sunset View Cemetery in El Cerrito. Donations in his memory may be made to Mission Hospice of San Mateo.
