James Winn Loyd Sr.

We were so sorry to hear of James' passing. He was such a good man and he will be greatly missed . Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.

I loved to hear James laugh. He always left you feeling better than he found you. I'll miss him.

James will be missed by many...as long as I can remember he and the Loyd family has been a big part of my family! Love and prayers to all his loved ones.

What a wonderful man. Our area has lost a good citizen. I will miss his kind words, good deeds and smile. God bless.

A great East Mountain Tiger fan. Always had an encouraging word. I think the meaning of the word Loyd is friendly.

Our hearts are so sad for your family. Looking at his pictures brings tears to our eyes. We are so thankful we got to spend a little time with him when we were home last month. He was so important to pretty much everyone, and like everyone, James holds a special place in both of our hearts. James has known Nate since before birth and since I met him at 16, he has always been one of my favorite people. I am so sad for your family.... and will miss seeing his sweet smile and hearing his crazy stories when we come into town. We love you all... xoxo

My Dad, Ray Downs had many fond memories of their childhood together. Now they will be re-united in Heaven. Godspeed, Your work on earth is done. May peace fill your family with God's love. In Christ.

What a great man he was. Always so kind, friendly and so happy as he would say "aw honey, if I was any better I"d be twins" I miss seeing him in the store.
He had a way of making you feel so good & he was such a special man.

A mam with a smile that would light up a room and your soul .Will be missed by all that knew him .

It saddens me greatly to know that James is not going to be around with his wit. But, it gladdens me to know that he has gone to heaven. All sickness is gone.
It was such a joy to have been his pastor. May God bless Annette and all the family.

Mr. Loyd was such a nice guy with a great personality. He will be missed very much by all who knew him. I never heard him complain of his pain and always had something positive and uplifting to say everytime I talked with him. Thanks, Mr. Loyd for your excellent grave service you always provided Rosedale Cemetery in Gladewater; but there'll be no use for your service in Heaven...because there'll be no dying there!

We will miss him, such a wonderful man, always smiling and talking even though he had medical problems. Gilmer will not be the same around town.

I grew up listenin to stories from dad about them runnin the woods and creeks. Dad loved to tell about shootin each other fishin lines with their 22's.
James will be missed and dad has been talkin about him all mornin.
