My father (David Bryce Wilson, also External Affairs) was Mr. Langley's number 2 at the permanent delegation to the OECD in the early 1960s. Their generation is fast passing but inspired many of us still in the public service. Please accept our family's heartfelt condolences.

Jim, your grace and wisdom shared in the brief time since I met you, I will always hold dear. Loved chatting about Haxby and our travels. I so enjoyed meeting Ling and your family. These are moments I will never forget. Nor will I ever forget you - you dear, dear man. You are a star that will shine forever. Thank you.
Cheers,
K.L. Rennie

Dear Ling, I miss Jim as one of my oldest friends. Not only will I miss his friendship, but his counsel, wise words, and our many discussions about the ancient world, as well, of course, modern-day politics. I will miss him dreadfully.
With much love,
Brian
