James Luli Obituary
He was born March 29, 1956, in Ravenna, Ohio, to parents George H. and Carol E. (Baker) Luli. Jim graduated from Rootstown High School and worked in construction, every aspect of construction. He began his career working with his father, then Ruhlin Company, and for 32 years with Seese-Sveda Construction in Akron. Jim was also a member of Laborers Local 894.
Jim was a hard worker and provided well for his family. His generous nature had him always putting others needs above his own. "Big Jim" touched the lives of countless people through years of coaching. He had a knack for being able to connect with each player. Most of all, Jim was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud Papa.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife Jamie M. Luli, children: James A. (Debbie) Luli, Doni (Pete Robeson) Moore, Michael (Kelly) Moore, Jeremy (Jennifer) Luli, Amanda (Tim) Potts, and Nicholas Moore, as well as his grandchildren: Evan, Grace, George, Georgia, Miles, Isabella, Haleigh, Amelia, Mack, and David. He is also survived by his sisters: Kim Baker, Patty (Dave) Huck, Pam (Steve) Post, and Barb (Rick) Rhinehart, along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends, and his dear canine girls Alice and Irene.
Friends and family will be received Sunday, August 12, 2018, from 12:00 – 2:00 PM and 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Scott Hindel officiating. Interment will follow at Homeland Cemetery in Rootstown.

Jim was a wonderful man and he will be missed greatly. I am glad we had the opportunity to get to know him. He accepted our family as part of his. We will keep the family in our prayers!
