James C. Maloney

MALONEY, James C. of Pinconning, Michigan. Mr. Maloney, age 90 years, passed away Monday, January 11, 2010 at Bay Regional Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born on March 3, 1919 in Pinconning, MI to the late William and Ella (Vogel) Maloney. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He married the former Marion (Kosky) on November 18, 1938 she survives him. James was a member of St. Michael's Church the K of C, VFW and the conservation club. James enjoyed hunting, and fishing but most of all playing cards with his family and friends. Surviving besides his wife of 71 years are his two daughters, Joan (Gary) Bourcier and Cheryl (Bob) Fletcher; two brothers, George (Mona) Maloney and Charles Maloney; one sister, Rhea Maloney; ten grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by three brothers: William, Edward, and Virgil. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Michael's Church with Rev. Fr. George Serour and Deacon Ralph Brisson presiding with burial in St. Michael's Cemetery with military funeral honors under the auspices of Bay County Veterans, Standish American Legion Post 104 and VFW Post 3724. Friends may call at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1 to 8 p.m. At 6:45 their will be a VFW memorial Service, A Prayer Service will be held at 7 p.m. On Thursday James will lie in state at the church from 9 a.m. until time of service.
