James MANSER Obituary
Peacefully, Sunday, July 5, 2015, at the age of 85. Beloved husband of the late Anne (nee Mahony) for over 50 years. Loving father of Kathryn (Adam), Jennifer (John), Peter (Sylvie), Robert (Natalie) and the late Major Stephen (Kathleen). Cherished grandpa of Everett and Charlotte, Matthew and Renée and Joshua and Amy. Close brother-in-law of Margaret Mahony. Retired teacher at Algonquin College (25 years), member of R.C.A.F. (1949-1954), member of Richmond Curling Club, life member of the March Tennis Club, an enthusiastic golfer and world traveller. A Memorial Service in Memory of Jim will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of

Kathy, Jenny, Peter and Robert. I just found out this morning and I am so sorry to learn of Jims passing. My heart is breaking for all of you. The memories I cherish of he and your mother are so precious. Although not terribly comforting, I believe that they and you brother are all looking down on you together. I am quite sure if it is possible that they, Mary, David and my parents are toasting quite a beautiful life led. You are all always in my heart. Deepest condolences. Carol S.

Your father is one of my treasured memories of my time at Algonquin. His patience and kindness made him one of the most effective teachers I ever had. And best of all, in the 70's, Jim was fair to all. He nurtured talent and did his best by everyone. Mostly he taught us about respect. Thank you, Jim. Peace be with you and your family.

I remember my uncle Jim in the big house at 67 Varely Dr. He had amazing gardens in the backyard in his very organized home. I Remember the train and plane models they were the coolest thing. I hope one day I can have a retirement as great as he had... May he rest in peace with my aunt Ann, and my cousin Stephen

My sincere condolences to Peter and his family. I will always remember being totally blown away with his collection of models in his den at the house. He was a kind and gentle man and you were very lucky to have him as your father.

Kathryn,Jennifer,Peter & Robert. I had a lot of respect for your Father. When i think back to growing up in Kanata, one of my memories of your dad was his pipe. The other was watching him head off on his bike to the Tennis club. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time

Manser family. My sincere condolences on Jim's passing. I started my career at Algonquin as secretary to Jim, he was a wonderful, compassionate person. Jim is happy being reacquainted with his wife. May you all keep great remembrances of this good man near to your hearts. Rest in peace Jim and God Bless your family in this time of sorrow.
