Mr. James Raymond Maynard

Mr. James Raymond Maynard, 80, of Winthrop, AR died Saturday September 27, 2014 in a texarkana hospital. Mr. Maynard was born October 8, 1933 in Winthrop, AR to James and Ruthie Maynard. He was a deacon and a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Cross Roads. Mr. Maynard was an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Maynard was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Leon Kennedy; four sisters Nelda Wilkerson, Louise Johnson, Dorothy Morgan, and Pauline Cody. Mr. Maynard is survived by his wife Ethelene Sanders Maynard of winthrop, AR; three sons and Daughters-in-Law Victor and Dixie Maynard of Winthrop, Neil and Tammy Maynard of Winthrop, and Jeff and Vanessa Maynard of Gainsville, GA; one daughter Carolyn Hooper of Bentonville, AR; one brother Neil Maynard of Stuggart, AR; one sister Florence Tucker of Shinewell, OK; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday September 30, 2014 at First Southern Baptist Church of Cross Roads at 2:00 P.M. with Gary Steiner officiating. Burial will follow at the Campground Cemetery in Winthrop, AR.
