James Calvin McGaughey

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
I will always remember 'Coach' McGaughey, both on the basketball court and in Texas History class. I still have the recipe for corn pone he made during class in the sixth grade. I found it recently while packing boxes to move. He will be missed!

I do not remember much of Jimmy since I am older but I do remember his Mom & Dad. Ora Mae and my Mom were good friends. My condolences to all of the McGaughey family and to the little town of Alto.

Dickey - sorry to hear of Jimmy's death. I often remember our friendship in high school and years on the football field with fellow team mates. Jimmy was always laughing about something. It made you feel good just to be around him. We will miss him. God bless you and your family.

I just heard about Gary and Jimmy. I am so sorry to hear the news of your loss, but God has gained two more great people from Alto. I know we haven't seen each other in years, but your family is always in my heart, and I love you both.

My condolences to Jim's family. Jim was a very special friend to my family and me. We shared so many precious memories. We had so much fun teaching together at Slocum for five years. He was ONE of a kind!

To Dickey and Family, Please accept my sincerest condolences at the passing of "Little Jimmy" for he was part of many lifetime memories of those years in sport activities and our growing up.
His Army service to our Nation will forever be remembered as will his gentle and humorous nature.
