James Miller Obituary
Jim was an active member of Edgemont Bible Church in Fairview Heights, Illinois. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He was a loving husband, family man, and friend, who will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Miller; a grandson, Jeff Mezo; his brother, Glen Miller; and a son-in-law, Jim Mezo.
Surviving are his mother, Ruby Miller, nee Minor; his loving wife, Geneva P. Miller, nee Kane; daughters, Susanna Mezo, Linda (Paul) Bogacki, Jill (Ron) Darin, Evelyn (Paul) Bilyeu-Cox, Sarah (John) Dobecki; his grandchildren, Rick (Deana) Vandeford, Joe Mezo, Jason (Tanya Hubbard) Mezo Vandeford, Debbie Bogacki, Mary (Matthew) Bogacki, Ron (Daura) Darin, Christy Darin, Zachary (Alyssa) Bilyeu, Chloe Dobecki, and Luke Dobecki; 10 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson; a sister, Pat Engelhardt; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Memorials are appreciated to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the American Cancer Society. Condolences may also be expressed online at www.lakeviewfuneralhm.com.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
Funeral: Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February, 27, 2014, at Edgemont Bible Church, Fairview Heights, Illinois, with Rev. Douglas White officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.

Sarah, I am so sorry for your loss. Jim was always a constant and stable presence in your life, as you have been in his up until the very end. Be comforted that he is no longer suffering and is now in a better place. Please know that I am here for you, whatever you may need. My deepest sympathy to you and your family in this time of sorrow.
