Barbara L. Pesci

Our beloved mom, age 87, died peacefully in Fullerton, CA, surrounded by many loving family members. As an infant, she came with her family to Los Angeles, where she grew up. She married our dad and they eventually moved to Downey, where she was a devoted homemaker. Our mom was pure sweetness and love, selfless and always dedicated to her family. She loved traveling and eagerly anticipated trips, especially on trains. An avid reader and Dodger fan, she was also a great cook who baked legendary apple pies and handed down dozens of prized recipes. We are heartbroken and will miss her dearly every day, but we are comforted by knowing that one day we will all see her again--"at home." She is survived by her husband, Robert Pesci; children James, Thomas (Carolyn), Patricia (Andrew), Roberta (Ken), Daniel, Cheryl, and Marianne (Kurt); grandchildren, Nick, Cara, Marc, Monica (Jason), Ryan (Sara), Kevin (Shannon), and Alex: great-grandchildren Lili and Carter; sister, Rosalene; and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces. She was predeceased by her parents and two sisters. Our family would like to thank the wonderful staff of St. Jude Hospital in Fullerton. A celebration of life is planned for a later date.
