Dear family and friends of Jim O'Connor: I didn't know him but I'm thinking of him and all of you with sorrow on this second anniversary of your loss of this well-loved man. Everything I've read about him tells me he was smart, courageous, caring, loving, helpful in every way, and just. This dangerous world needs more, not fewer, people like Jim. My nephew-in-law is a Philadelphia police officer and we worry constantly about his safety and the safety of all officers. Please know that Jim is remembered with the greatest respect and admiration by many.

I am very saddened to know my cousin Jimmy is no longer with us. Jimmy was a perfect individual; kind, caring, friendly, considerate, and always thinking of the needs of others. I remember in the 1980's when Jimmy's grandparents visited my parents and they showed us pictures of Jimmy as a child. They were so proud of him. He was an adorable little boy and a great student. His intelligence, good humor, easy-going friendliness, reliability, and loyalty sets a perfect model for all police officers. Until we meet again, Love cousin Toni.

Jimmy will never be forgotten by us! He was always just a phone call away, and always ready to help someone! I will miss our morning discussions after last our tour, while he helped me with some electrical issues, so I wouldn't burn the house down. Our chats always were centered on our families and our wives. Terri, kids, and the entire family you will always be in our prayers. For my Brother Jimmy, we got it from here, Until We Meet Again, God speed
