JAMES JOSEPH O’HARA


James Joseph O'Hara passed away on December 4th at his home in Sebastian, Florida.  Jimmy was born in Danbury, Connecticut on Aug 25, 1940. He was a Navy bowsman and served during the Bay of Pigs era from 1961-1965.


Cars and going fast was always Jimmy's passion, he drag raced at 1/4 mile strips in New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. He was a tile layer and after moving to Massachusetts, owned a busy auto body shop in Westport, Jimmy was known for his excellence in auto body restoration.  An avid fisherman, he retired to Sebastian, Florida spending a great deal of time on the waters of the Indian River.


He is survived by his daughter, Tracy O'Hara from Connecticut, brothers, Dennis O'Hara, Michael Arbitelle and David Arbitelle and sister, Paula Jean Arbitelle.  He was predeceased by his parents, Octavia Brill, step-father, Paul Arbitelle and his younger brothers, Mark and Dick Arbitelle.


A Celebration of Life will be held on January 7th from 12:00 to 3:00 at Shady Rest Club House, Sebastian, Florida.
