On Sunday, August 21, 2016, with the utmost determination, Jim "Bones" fought a courageous battle against the debilitating brain disease known as glioblastoma. He passed away at home surrounded by his loving familyBeloved husband and best friend of Cindy (Davenport) Olszewski for 29 years; devoted father of Jacquelin Finley (Jake) and James Olszewski (Shelby); much loved grandpa to Nathan Meyers, Gianni and Jade Finley, Andrew James Olszewski; son of the late Joseph and Margaret Olszewski of Avalon; brother of Barbara Wiemer (David), Janet Michaels (late Dennis), Joanne Ratchford (Bill), Joe (Judy), Phyllis Custer (Gary), Bob (Debbie), Richard (Marlene); brother-in-law of Bruce Davenport (Vicki), Lance Davenport, Diane Karus (late Mike), and the late Eric Davenport (surviving, Dawn); also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Family was most important to Jim, as evidenced by his devotion to his wife and children. Jim had an unwavering faith and an infectious smile. He was a kind man and always willing to help others. He will be forever missed by many. Friends received Thursday and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the LAWRENCE T. MILLER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 460 Lincoln Avenue, Bellevue. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Assumption, 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2016. Burial will follow in Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Jim was the best tech there was and as a former customer I missed working with him over the last few years. He was a great guy and I am blessed to have worked with him over the last 15 years.

Dear Olszewski Family:
Please accept our heartfelt condolences for your tremendous loss. Jimmy and you are in our thoughts and prayers. I cannot imagine how difficult it must be for your family. I had the privilege to work with Jimmy for almost thirty years. I know I will miss him! I also know that many of his former colleagues and customers will miss him too!

Jim was a true pioneer, before folks new what a "PBX" was Jimmy O was working on them. 29 years of working with Jim was always a hoot. He'd say " the sales guy said it would do that..really?" then he'd go and make it do just that. A great guy, super smart, gone before his time.

Dearest Cindy:
My heartfelt condolences at the loss of your beloved husband. Even tho I did not know James personally, his obituary told a story about a loving, caring, husband and father.
