STUART Saunders MILLER 52, of Memphis died Monday morning, September 14, at Baptist East Hospital after a short illness. Stuart was born in Johnson City, TN, August 28, 1957 and was preceded in death by his parents Richard Cobb Miller and Ann Saunders Miller. The family moved to Memphis in 1966. Stuart graduated from PDS and MUS and attended the University of Tennessee. He worked in the food service industry as a restaurateur and was most recently in management with Brinker International. Stuart was an avid fly fisherman and enjoyed making hand crafted cane fly rods. He is survived by his wife Karen Underwood Miller, his son Andrew Houston Miller, his brother Richard Houston Miller and his sister Patricia Miller Snider. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to either the Memphis Food Bank or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A visitation will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, September 17 at Memorial Park Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. Memorial Park Funeral Home (901)767-8930 memorialparkonline.com

Karen:

I was so sorry to hear of Stuart's passing. I regret not having seen either of you since we left Knoxville in the early 80's, but I'll always remember Stuart as one of the nicest fellow alums from our MUS Class of '76. My thoughts will be with you and yours.

Karen and Drew: We wish to extend our deepest condolences for the loss of Stuart. He was the first person I met when I moved to Memphis. He was always caring and supportive to me and to countless numbers of people who he worked with and helped nurture thier careers.
We hope that you find comfort in knowing what a great friend Stuart was to me and my family.
