Let me just start by saying the simple fact i can express my thoughts with proper grammar. There is no doubt he helped shape my life and many others just by one simple trait kindness and a smile. No doubt he gave agape love to anybody he came in contact with.

Tim & Family, as I think back about Mr. Patterson’s character and the influence he had on me as a student, I can't but hope God will use me as He used this wonderful servant leader. A better man I will never know!

Truly a one of the finest examples of leadership I have ever had the privilege to know.

To all of the Patterson family, as long as I can remember there has always been Mr. Patterson. He was one of the kindest most loving men I have ever known. He was respected and loved by so many. May God bless your dear family during this time. May the memories that you cherish ease the pain of his abscence in the days to come.

Mr. Patterson was such a terrific example for all of his students. Always classy and kind. A true Wilson Warrior that will be missed by all. I feel honored to have known him.

Heaven has truelly welcomed home one of its finest and best. Mr. Patterson was such an example and inspiration to some many young people in our community, a blessing to everyone who ever had the great pleasure of knowing him. To the family you have all of my love and smpathy and may be comforted by the knowledge that he is safe in the arms of the heavenly father where you all will be together one day.

Ramona (and family), we send our deepest sympathy and prayers to your family during this difficult time. Your father was an extraordinary and special man, there are very few left like him. He touched so many lives in such a positive way and I know his rewards will be many. Wish we could be there to show our love and support. God blessed us all with an exceptional human being that will be greatly missed.

My condolences to your family. I had not seen Mr Patterson since my graduation from Wilson H.S. in 1979, but, I remember what a kind man he was and I am saddened at his passing.

So many wonderful memories of Mr. Patterson. We respented him and admired him. He was always so warm and friendly and eager to provide guidance to students. When I think of Wilson School it is hard not to think of Mr. Patteson wandering the halls of our school. My prayers to his family. My fellow classmate Tim, and Ramona and Rachel and his beloved wife....may your memories bring you comfort as his wonderful nature brought to so many.

Mr. Patterson had a huge impact on my family for multiple generations..Mr Patterson was a very special person and a wonderful man to know.

Mr. Patterson was the principal at Underwood when I was in 4th grade. I got in trouble for something and he made me learn my 6 times table. I will never forget that. He was always so nice to all the students. Sorry to hear he is gone.

Mr.Patterson was not only a Veteran, or an Educator, He was a mentor and friend to thousands of school-aged children whom He took under his wing and taught them life's greatest lessons and respect for others. I will always remember his kind voice and smile that he carried with him,like each day was going to be better than the last. He was proof of that fact and he lived it everyday. a man blessed by God and it showed.

It seems like only yesterday that the Pattersons, the Lewises, and the Nobles were gathering year by year at each others houses and enjoying the good times of being close. Those days may be past but they will never be forgotten. I would still love to go and swing on the front porch swing at the Patterson's old house. Too many memories than can ever be relayed only point to Jim and Lou Eva as being two of the greatest people I have ever met. Jim often extended acts of kindness that only the recipient was aware of. I was one of those recipienta when he brought a pan of rolls because he knew I was hosting a wedding rehearsal party. I share your loss.

Mr. Patterson was a man that all of us would like to be like, but that few of us will ever attain. He gave himself to many of us 'boys' as we were growing up. He lead us in Boy Scouts, in School and in Church. There are six 'boys' whose lives would have been very different if not for the love of Jim Patterson. The Nobles' boys loved you very much and you were a guiding light to us. May God bless your family during this time as you blessed so many of us during your lifetime.

Mr. Patterson was an inspiration to Charles and me. He sang at our wedding and was there for us through the loss of our baby. We enjoyed the times we would talk to him at the Community Center. He will be deeply missed. Our prayers are with the family. Charles and Peggy Stults

It saddened me to read of Jim's passing. I graduated from Central with Jim. I only saw him a few times over the years and he was always the same - just one of the nicest, kindest friends you could ever have.
