I worked for Jim when he owned the dealership in McHenry as a bookkeeper. He was one of the nicest people. Now retired my self and living in SWFL. Would have liked to see him again. RIP Jim.

I had the pleasure of meeting James a couple of times and he was such a nice, funny and warm individual. His children are proof of his kind, loving and successful parenting. He will be missed tremendously and I am sure his family will carry on his spirit, legacy and keep all the family memories alive. Love and prayers to the whole Payton family and friends.

Jim - my thoughts and prayers are with you as your Father embarks on a new journey. I wish I had met him so I could of told him what a wonderful job he did on raising such a kind son. My heart goes out to you in this time of sorrow.

Heaven just received one of the great ones, consummate gentleman, friend for 62 years. Beginning with the snow storm the day of my birth, the picking out of the new car every year, the life long friendship of our entire families, to the last weeks of your life Claudette and I were honored to spend with you and my mother, you were there...one of the great ones. You are already truly missed and we promise you we will take care of mom until we all meet again one day.

To my loving father whom I will miss so much. Thank you for all the years of love and compassion that you gave me. I am so greatful we had these last 8 years together. I will continue to live my life the way you taught me with your everyday actions to be caring and graceful to those around us. To live with my faith as the foundation to build my life. Thanks for giving me a chance to experience life as you did and I will love you forever. "So long Pal" Your son Jimmy

I only had the pleasure of meeting Jim once. It was at the wedding
of his youngest son Tom to my daughter Natascha here in Phoenix.
I liked him from the beginning and wish we could have gotten to know
each other better.
He was a fine man.
