Jenne, Paul and Anna,
We were so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I remember first meeting him in an MBA class at BJC campus. We sat next to each other and shared some war stories. Also remember the numerous contacts during all those tennis lessons w/Paul & Anna. Our prayers are with you.

Jim: You are my best friend although we have not been flying in a while. I will always remember the kids we took for their 1st Airplane Ride all over South Georgia. Flying back from Claxton in a pouring rain and navigating like we both like, low, slow and keep an eye on the Altamaha cause it will get us back to St. Simons! Fly High good friend and we will meet for coffee again, I will cook the pancakes.

Your legacy lives on in so many hearts!

My brother-in-law Jim was a man of carefully-chosen words, with a slow Southern delivery and considered argument for his case. Whether discussing the antebellum economy, world politics, or how to use Shoe Goo on an airframe, he was a treasure trove of thought, insight and opinion. I may not have always agreed, but I always respected and admired him. He was a great brother-in-law, husband, father, grandfather, pilot, Marine, Southerner, debater, humorist, and ultimately, a good man. I will miss his quick wit and ready grin, but thoughts of him will live on and always bring a smile to my face.

I may not be able to be with you all this week in body, but I am with you in spirit to honor a life so incredibly successful and vibrant. Jim, I will miss you, but I am richer for having known you for so long.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Mr. Jim left a lasting impression on my life as did yourself, Jeanne. Such great teachers of spirit, life and nature are few and far between. May all your beautiful memories and faith comfort you.

Things I learned from Uncle Jim: How to count thunder so you make it back to the dock before the storm; how to cut open a pine cone and locate the seed; that the pot shouldn't call the kettle black; how to locate the constellations; that dolphins mate for life; how to look for alligators; and how to smile with your eyes; Thanks Jim, all of us will miss you!

We were so sorry to learn of Jim's death. I have good memories of your dad when we spent time with your parents at Disney, on the island, and up in Ironwood the summer they flew in. He gave us rides in his plane and that was such a nice thing to do! You're all in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I meet and Jim through EAA and would see him almost every week-end at the clubhouse. Even after he was diagnosed with his illness he was always smiling. His quick wit and great stories will be missed around the clubhouse. He fought a log & hard battle and now he can rest. Catch ya later old friend.

Such a courageous man. His spirits were also high & he constantly smiled. He was an inspiration to me, if I ever thought about complaining about things in my life he would come in for an appt & I would remember everything he had been and was going through and it would make me be thankful..thankful that he was introduced to my life. I know you will miss him!! I will pray for your family in the time of great loss.
