Dear Debbie, and family, my very sincere sympathy for your loss of Jay. I was so impressed by his determination to help himself as much as possible and how devoted and caring you all were when he had no energy left. I hope eventually all the wonderful memories of him and his warm sincere smile will bring some comfort. M.J. Randlett

Sincerest sympathies to the family from old neighbours in Brookdale Terrace. Growing up with him, he was known only as "Tickles" and that told you what kind of character he was. I can still hear his giggle. All the times we hung out in Broadview Park, a group of kids from the block, playing baseball, football, hide and seek, great conversations at the picnic table in the park after dark..... The world has lost a special guy.

My deepest condolences. James left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was a true friend, enjoyed laughing and making others laugh. His smile was infectious. He passed some of his philosophies on life on to me. I think about them daily and try to use them in my life. In turn, I have passed them off to my children. His legacy will live on. He will be missed and the world is a little sadder place today.
