I just found out that Mr. Posey had passed. He was so nice and such a blessings to everyone he met. He will be missed dearly.

Dear Posey family, we all looked forward to seeing you at the Hookstown Fair. I am very sorry for your loss. Mr. Ribs was the best. Your Friend, Ralph Cannon.

Gaye, I am so very sorry to hear of your tremendous loss. I recently made the connection that it was the James Posey that I so fondly remember, from you two being patients of Dr Spiegels (in Mount Lebanon). I was the receptionist and enjoyed seeing you both come in...usually with some delectable ribs and your speciality...Sweet Potato Pie. I remember when James was at Bethel Park's community day (years ago) and he saved me a special plate of the best ribs and chicken I have ever eaten. He was one in a million, with his wonderful smile and enduring personality and I will never forget him. May God be with you and your family to help you through this terrible tragedy. I am so sorry.

Cousin Gaye I'm so sorry to have heard of your lost. You and cousin Posey are two of my favorite people. When my mom told me the terrible news it took my breath and cousin Gaye I made a commitment to God to be a better man when I return home in honor of Cousin Posey. May God bless you and the family.

I was so shocked to hear about Mr. Posey. He was always smiling and friendly. He will be missed by many. May the Lord bless his entire family. When times get rough, know that he is smiling down on you all.

I coordinate the "Fair in the Woodlands" out here in Clinton. "Mr Ribbs" has been a vendor for several years. Our sincerest sympathies go out to your family. He was always a joy to have around. We will miss him

I just heard...I am so very sorry... Words can simply do no justice. I give thanks for the time he was with us here on earth... for the many lives he touched and the hearts he captured. I give thanks for the love, memories and lessons he has embedded in the hearts of his friends, family and grand children...love that will live on in all of your hearts forever...I pray that God comforts each of you, wraps you in his arms and reassures you that he is now in Heaven and you will be reunited some day. Until then, always remember. ..never, ever forget the joy he brought into your lives and the impact he embedded into your heart...forever...

Gaye - You are in my thoughts and prayers. He was such a wonderful man and it was an honor to be his friend. As I'm trying to find the right words to say, I'm remembering all those many, many times at the BP. No matter what kind of day I was having, I was laughing and smiling when you and he left. His smile and laughter were so infectious. May memories like this and the thought of his love get you through the weeks ahead.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the loss of your dear love one. May you find comfort in knowing that God cares for you and will sustain you during these difficult times.

James was a wonderful and kind person to my family. Seeing him once a year at the Hookstown Fair as Mr. Ribbs was the highlight of the year. James not only treated us as friends but accepted us as family, and the joy of watching Nia and Chelsea grow a friendship was so precious. Thank you James for those memories, you will be greatly missed.

Our family and friends always enjoyed having "Mr. Ribbs" be part of our special celebrations. We are saddened by his passing and pray that James is now in God's Kingdom of Everlasting Life. Our sympathy and love to everyone in Jame's family. We considered James to be a very friendly, dependable and talented guy and we'll miss him.

My family was blessed to know this kind and wonderful man. We only got to see Mr. Ribbs once a year at the Hookstown Fair, but James and his family welcomed us as family year after year. It always gave me great joy watching Nea and Chelsea hanging out together during the fair. Thank you James for the love you gave my family. Gaye and Family, we have been thinking about you alot, and please let Nea know that Chelsea is thinking about her.

What a wonderful, wonderful person. A great husband, father and grand-father. Somewhere there might be others as good, nobody was better. Posey had a smile that would put the Sun to shame. He was always so optimistic, so full of the joy of Life and so generous to everyone. To say he will be missed is a huge understatement. Nobody could do to pork what Posey did. The man was truly a Master of the Grill! He was a special client and a wonderful friend. He taught me what it meant to be "on the wall". That was a unique and special privilege Posey only gave to a few people. I was so very fortunate to be one such lucky person for many years. No trip to Pittsburgh was complete without a visit to Mr. Ribbs to see Posey. It'll never be the same -- but that's as it should be. There is only room for one Posey in a lifetime. Posey was one of the kindest man I ever had the pleasure of knowing. I first met him when I worked at St. Francis Central and enjoyed his ribs until this day. He was always in such a good mood and made everyone around feel better. It is so tragic that he was lost in such a senseless way. I know he is in heaven smiling down on all of you.

I would like to say to Jim's family, may GOD comfort you as you go through this time. Jim was one of the GREATEST MEN I have ever known.We had not seen each other since the 90's but he was so wonderful to me and my wife. I hope I was a help to him as well when he attended C.C.A.C. I will always miss his smile and positive attitude. The world needs more men like Jim Posey. I will NEVER forget you. Until we meet again. GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY !!!

Gaye, I was very deeply saddened reading about what happened to James. So disturbing that such a likeable young man's life was ended. I always liked talking to James at the company banquets. I enjoyed stopping by his place just to see his smile and his encouraging words! I will miss him like a brother!

I wanted to extend my deepest sympathy to the Posey Family for their tragic loss. Forty years ago, I lived in an apt complex on Talley Drive in the North Hills. I believe that James and Gaye were my downstairs neighbors. I fondly remember the good times we had in that complex, sitting in the halls, eating that big fish I cooked. If you are the same James and Gaye, this loss is felt even more by me. May God take James in the palms of his hands and forever allow him to watch over his beloved family.

Such a wonderful man who always had a bright smile and a huge hug for anyone who wanted it. Having him in my life has made me a better person. Although I will miss him immensely, he will always be in my heart and prayers. May God welcome Mr. James with opened arms and comfort all of you in His tender loving care. Love and prayers to you all.

Absolutely tragic and sad. My heart breaks for you and your family. Rest in Peace Mr. Posey. We will keep your family in our heart, thoughts and prayers.
