James I. "Jim" Potter, Jr., 84 years of age passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born May 21, 1934 in Jeffersonville to the late James and Maggie Potter, Sr. Jim was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired foreman from the Naval Ordnance in Louisville. He was a proud graduate of Jeffersonville High School, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1384 in Jeffersonville, and was an avid golfer and photographer.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Donna Campbell Potter; children, DeeAnn Burt (Danny), David Potter (Lisa), Gary Potter, Randy Wallbaum; brother, Robert Potter; sisters, Nancy Alexander (Ron), Linda Merk; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Monday at the funeral home chapel with entombment at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
The family requests expressions of sympathy to go to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
