My sincerest condolences and prayers for Jim´s family and friends. I worked with Jim at Blanchet. He was always welcoming, in good humor, and cared deeply for our students. .

I first met Jim in Mazatlan, Mexico when he was on vacation with Debbie. Likely at a palapa restaurant on the beach. Jim was pleasant and friendly and happy to meet up with the Oregon gang of John, Teresa and Janet.
My impression of Jim was that he was calm, cool, and unflappable. I'm sure that he would have been a caring husband and father.
My condolences to Debbie and the children. His loving presence will be with you always.
