My fondest memory of James was when he sang to Alfredo, his grandfather, at his birthday party. It was an act of courage (to be able to sing in public--in Spanish, no less!), love (for his grandfather and culture), and devotion. Condolences to the Gomez and Rollins family; you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Dear James,

You came from the "the people who live by the rocks and seagulls" and are now with God. Your shortened stay with us was with purpose and meaning...you touched my heart with your sincere devotion to life and family. I will miss your honest and polite conversation. I will miss your enthusiasm. I will fill the void you left in my life with prayer for your family. I will miss a good young man.

I wish to express my deepest sympathy and the hope that the kind thoughts and prayers will make your grief a little easier to bear. I have many fond memories of James -- I will never forget his beautiful smile, cheerfulness and respect extended to me and my family. Special note to Mr. & Mrs. Rollins...I hope it it will be of some comfort to know that you gave your son all the love and devotion possible and that your many friends and extended family share in your sorrow. I pray and hope that our caring will lessen the sorrow that you bear.

R.I.P. One of my oldest and dearest friend! You were such an amazing person.Always making me laugh when I was sad or lecturing me when you know I can do better! I will never forget or deep talks and our crazy adventures. You will always be in my heart forever and always. And I will always be there for the two greatest gifts you have ever given. Layla and James will always Carry with them the fact they had a father who adored them to pieces...it breaks my heart as I am staring at them playing right now...so crazy how much littles is just like you!and layla sooo beautiful. Just know i will always be there for them and Amber as i know you will too!<3

We had some good times, and your never far from my thoughts. I'll always wish for that piece of Heaven just for you.
