James Ronald 'Ronnie' Waits

James Ronald 'Ronnie' Waits, age 67, of Acworth, GA., passed away Saturday, February 18, 2017. Mr. Waits was born on October 18, 1949 in Acworth, a son of the late William Ray Waits and Florence Marie Gravley Waits.
Mr. Waits spent all of his life in Acworth, GA. After thirty eight dedicated years, Ronnie retired as a Plant Superintendent for Chemical Products. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and wood-working, however, nothing could bring him more joy than to being a 'PawPaw' to his two granddaughters. Ronnie was a simple man who could be easily described as one with great integrity, a hard worker, and the rock of his family. He was a wonderful husband to his late wife, brother, father, and grandfather; he will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Along with his parents Ronnie is preceded in death by the love of his wife, Mrs. Nancy Ann Waits who passed in 2014; and one sister, Linda Joyce Shelton.
He is survived by his two children, Rodney Waits, wife Christine of Euharlee, GA., and Mark Waits, wife Brandy of Acworth, GA.; three brothers, Tommy Waits, wife Judy of Silver Springs, FL., Ray Waits Jr., of Acworth, GA., and Bobby Waits, wife Judy of Cartersville, GA; his two granddaughters, Abbie Waits and Taylor Waits; and several extended family members and friends.
A Funeral Service to honor the life of Mr. Ronnie Waits will be held at two o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 in the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Jody Cagle officiating. Interment will follow in the Liberty Hill Cemetery in Acworth, GA.
The family will receive friends from six o'clock in the evening until nine on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home.
The follow gentlemen have been requested to serve as pallbearers, Tommy Waits, Rodney Waits, Mark Waits, Bobbie Waits, Ray Waits Jr., and Gene Johnson.
