James Edward Rousculp

James Rousculp, 49, of Lancaster Ohio, formally Millersport, Ohio was called home by the Lord on September 7, 2024, after a lengthy illness. Born on November 8, 1974, James is remembered for his kind and compassionate heart for animals as well as people in need of help. James had a brilliant mind for science, especially regarding weather, space, and medical science.

James attended high school in Millersport, Ohio as well as Eastland Career Center. He worked various jobs during his life. James had a friendly personality and is remembered as being a good storyteller. James loved to spend time with his family and enjoyed playing board games, especially Monopoly. He was also a member of several Independent Order of Odd Fellow lodges. James loved volunteering at the Rebekah Lodge pizza booth at the Millersort Sweet Corn Festival for many years.

James is survived by his Brother Jon (Amanda) Rousculp of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; Stepdad Andrew Barton of Millersport, Ohio; and Nephew Brendan Leal of Charlotte, North Carolina.

James was preceded in death by his Mother Kathy Barton (Rousculp) in 2012, his maternal Grandmother Blanche Rousculp in 2006, and his maternal Grandfather Frank Rousculp in 1994.

The family would like to thank Fairhope Hospice and The Pickering House for the outstanding care and compassion they showed James in the final days of his life.
