James Sanders Obituary
He was born in San Antonio, TX. In 1960, James married the love of his life, Dolores Conger, and they celebrated 47 years together before she passed away in 2007.
James is preceded in death by his wife Dolores, his father, Walker Sanders, mother, Rosalie, and siblings Shirley Grego and Pauline Merchant.
He is survived by sibling Walker A. Sanders, along with three sons: James (Robyn), Kenneth (Rhonda) and Jerry Sanders, in addition to seven grandchildren: Jeremy, Nicholas, Sean, Brad (Michael), Cody, Jerry, Jr. (Vanessa) and Donna, along with two great-grandchildren: Aubree and Amalia and two fur babies: Trooper and Lulu.
James served two tours in Vietnam with the United States Army. He retired in 1980 after serving 20 years. James enjoyed spending time on his place bailing hay, riding around in his buggy and spending time with his cows and donkeys. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and having breakfast with his boys every Saturday morning. He was a strong-willed and determined man and will be missed very much.
James was laid to rest on Friday, January 6, 2023 in Mission Burial Park South.
