Earner J. Wilemon

Earner J. Wilemon (nee Morris), 82, of Tupelo, MS, lost her battle with an extended illness, on Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at her son's home in Winthrop Harbor, IL.

Earner was born August 16, 1924 in New Albany, MS, and married William A. "Jack" Wilemon on March 22, 1946, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Fulton, MS. She and Jack resided in New Britain, CT, for two years; in Zion, IL from 1948-1986; and Tupelo, MS, from 1987-2007. Earner was employed by the Fansteel Corporation in Waukegan, IL from 1952-1986.

She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother; and she especially adored her four great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all.

Survivors include her husband, William A. "Jack" Wilemon; son, William Ronnie (Kathleen A.) Wilemon of Winthrop Harbor, IL; grandchildren, Kristina M. (Micah R.) Eastvold of Winthrop Harbor, IL, and Ryan C. (Michelle) Wilemon of Kenosha, WI; great-grandchildren, Kier T. and Brekken E. Eastvold, and Taryn R. and Michael A. Wilemon; sister, Leatha Baxter of Zion, IL; brother, Wilson (Irene) Morris of Fulton, MS; and sister, Margaret Stegall of Fulton, MS; and many nieces and nephews in Mississippi and Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Doc Wheeler Morris and Nola Hood Morris; brothers, C. L. "Chek" Morris, R. E. "Cotton" Morris; and her baby brother, Billy Gene Morris on June 30, 2007.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, August 3, 2007 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Funeral Services will be held in Fulton, MS.
