I met James at a Celebration of Life. Such a wonderful man. We enjoyed a lengthy conversation about cars. I'm sure he sped through the pearly gates with a smile on his face and his wife waiting to greet him.

James and his late wife, Sherry, were wonderful friends and we were so fortunate to have been able to spend many good times with them when they had their home in Pine, AZ. One particular New Year´s Eve stands out as James & Sherry hosted a party and their home was filled with neighbors, friends, good food and drinks. The homemade egg nog was the "star of the show" as the handwritten family recipe had been laminated and every other ingredient was listed as "whiskey to taste" guaranteeing that everyone partaking in the nog would be moving really slow on New Year´s Day!
Our deepest condolences to the family. We hope that your fond memories of James help you through this difficult time.

James was an important part of our family, attending all our family events, birthdays and holidays. I considered James my best friend for 35 years. We shared so many passions, whether it was racing our cars or flying to events all around the country. He once told me Sherry referred to me as his mistress! I loved James as a brother and a best friend...and no man could ask for a better friend.
Our condolences and love to the kids and grandkids. Rest in peace my friend...you lived one exciting life, now wipe those bugs off your teeth!

Deepest condolences to the entire family of James & Sherry. Sherry and I were friends & classmates in our elementary school years. I was always happy to know that Sherry & James were soul mates & deeply in love!! With love & prayers as you now mourn the loss of your Daddy.

There was a great guy that was in my HS graduation class - Price College High Amarillo Texas 1959. He was from Clarendon Texas and being a rather tall slim guy played basketball in 58' and 59' named James Vincent Semrad. Wish I had known he lived near by. Like I said - great smart guy even then.

I´m sorry to hear this news, James was my best friend, we were together in a lot of ways, always going on trips together staying in touch with each other no matter where we lived.
I am very sorry that Donna and I will not be able to make it to Tuson, I have just had an operation on my neck and can´t turn my head.

Woodland - James Vincent Semrad arrived home after every trip notifying family: "I cheated death again." And it was true. A son-in-law wondered if James' wife was trying to kill him by giving him flying lessons and Porsches. Put him behind... Read James Semrad's Obituary
