JAMES ANTHONY SEXTON Kingman, KS - James Anthony Sexton, known to friends and family as Jim, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2023, at the home of his sister Jeralyn (Joe) Hill in Cunningham, Kansas, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born on January 16, 1952, in Wichita, Kansas. Jim was the son of the late James L. and Mildred L. (Steinke) Sexton, a brother to Steve (deceased) Steve's widow Gail and family, and sister Jeralyn (Joe) Hill and family. He is also survived by two sons, Jacob and Jared Sexton. Growing up in Wichita Jim attended Derby High School. After graduating from high school, Jim began a career in the aviation industry in Wichita followed by his most recent employment with Cargill Meat Solutions, Dodge City, KS. Jim's passion for cars was evident to anyone who knew him. He especially enjoyed driving his 2013 Camaro SS and attending race car events. His love for automobiles was matched only by his love for his loyal dog, Sailor. Jim and Sailor were inseparable, often seen together watching movies or going for drives in the Camaro. Rest in peace, Jim. Your spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved you. A memorial Mass will be held Friday, May 26, 10 am, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kingman, KS. Burial will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery, Kingman, Kansas. Eternal rest grant unto him Oh, Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him.
