James Bowen Sherman

James Bowen Sherman, 74 of Moorefield, WV, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2024. Born on July 21, 1949, James dedicated most of his life to his work as a mechanic, where he was known for his skill and dedication. In his later years, he worked at Walmart, where he continued to serve his community with the same commitment and friendliness that he was known for throughout his career.

James was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. His service and sacrifice are remembered with deep gratitude.

James was an active member of Love Christian Assembly, where he found solace and strength in his faith and built many cherished relationships. He was a loving husband and father, with unwavering devotion to his family and faith, which were the cornerstones of his life.

James is survived by his beloved wife, Kay Sherman, his sons from his second marriage, Brian Sherman and Dustin Sherman, and his stepson, Joey Ford, his sons from his first marriage, James Sherman, Michael Sherman, and Jeremy Sherman.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

James will be remembered for his hard work, his commitment to his family, his steadfast faith, and his service to his country. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
