Gary and Sandy,
Prayers sent up for you and your family. Your dad fought a valiant fight.......may you find peace and comfort in the days to come knowing he is in a much better place now...

To lose a parent is one of the most agonizing things that will ever happen in your lifetime; but to give them up to God and know that they are in a better place and not suffering is a blessing and also knowing you will see him again someday. I know your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Gary,

Susan and I are so sorry for your loss. We have to have faith and believe he is in a better place and at peace.

He was a fighter, yet when I last talked to him he not lost his sense humor.

I will remember the good times with him and you roomie.

Jim is a great friend of ours. We'll always remember the words Jim said to us 19 years ago , that we would get married We did, and still remain in love. What Jim is an example of what God intended us to be.

Jim was more than an uncle, he was an example of humility and patience. We will miss him until we see him again in heaven.

We pray that God will comfort you all at this time. James was a sweet uncle, and I know you will miss him.

I will always remember Jim's kindness, ever present smile, contagious laughter and the way he always called Rene (his wife) "Darlin'" in his west Texas drawl. One of my fondest memories of Jim was watching him do "cannon balls" into our pool a few summers ago with four of his step-great grandchildren. The kids absolutely loved it. He was already so thin, I thought he would lose his swim trunks, but he didn't. We all had a great time that day! Jim, will miss you, but so glad you are no longer suffering and in a better place. Give my Mom a big hug for me.

He was a loving father with a heart of gold. He battled this cancer to the bitter end and did not want to give up. I will miss my father, but I know that now he is no longer hurting and is in a better place.
