James "Jim" Springer

littlefield - James Springer, 83 of Littlefield went to be with his Savior Friday Dec. 29,2023. He was born March 6, 1940 in Hermanville Mississippi to James Frank Springer and Bertha Louise Fleming.

He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, from 1957-1965. After his honorable discharge James returned to Lubbock Texas and was employed by W&W Steel until retirement.

James married Sharon Lee Everett on March 24, 1959 in San Antonio,TX. The couple made their family home in Lubbockbefore moving to Littlefield in 2004. James was a hardworking , caring, loving man. He was an animal lover of all sorts, especially his 4 legged friends Gin-Gin, Nelly, And Sweetie. He enjoyed every aspect of country life from working in the yard to remodeling his house.

He is survived by his wife, Sharo Springer of Littlefield, Daughters Julia Kayes and husband Leo, Kara Faye Wilson and husband John of Amhearst, Jamie Lynne Barksdale and husband Charlie of Danville, VA. Two sisters Melba Jones, and Gayle Reynolds of Lubbock, 4 Grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 1 Great great granddaughter.

James was preceded in death by his son James E. Springer Jr., his parents, one sister Jeanette Willis, One brother Samuel Herman Springer.

Per James request there will be no services.
