James A. Stacey

Jim is one of the greatest scout leaders I have ever met. His graduation from this life is one of both sadness and celebration for a life well lived. He will never be far from us as we recollect warm memories of the trips gone by. Many were the times of laughter and learning. Tenderfoot and Eagle were earned under his expert tutelage.

Now, I am grown and am a contributing member of the community, largely as a result of the lessons and example of dear brother Jim. I try to live a life that would make my scoutmaster proud.

The Lord Jesus Christ was at the center of his teachings, and offered a perspective that gave the experiences deep meaning. Silver Beaver was hardly recognition for this lifetime of service.

Love and condolences go to his family whom he loved so deeply. He will be missed and remembered forever.

I will always remember Jim as a great friend. The annual fishing trips to the Wind Rivers was something I always looked forward to. Every year it seemed he would give us a "big fish" story, and ususally had a big one in the bag to back it up. He taught my father, who taught me, and I have taught my sons how to fish those high mountain lakes. He is a great man and will be missed. My heart goes out to Sister Stacey and the rest of the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I will never forget my uncle Jim. He was always so chearful. The constant care he provided for his wife was amazing to watch. He will be so missed. My prayers are also with my Aunt Maurine and my cousins. I lost my father as well, but time does heal your pain. Stay close to God and he will help you through this hard time.

Jim is known to me as a great father with a strong conviction of his church. He loved his children and devoted his last years to charing for his lovely wife and trying to instill in his children the importance of staying close to our Father in Heaven. He will be missed.

I have lived in the same ward as Jim and have thus known him for some time I have worked with him in Scouting and other activities in the ward. The past couple years I along with Bud Benard have bee his home teacher. Maurine and my late wife Janet were good friends and did a lote together. I will miss Jim.
