James T. Stackhouse WILLIAMS TOWNSHIP James T. Stackhouse, 84, of Williams Township, PA, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born May 29, 1933, in Easton, PA, he was a son of the late Walter S. and Mary (Hart) Stackhouse. Jim and his wife, Jacqueline A. (Werkheiser) Stackhouse, celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on Aug. 21, 2017. He last worked for the former Laneco, Phillipsburg, NJ, for 10 years. Jim retired as a route salesman from the former Maier's Bakery, formerly Schaible's Bakery, where he worked for 37 years. Jim graduated from Easton High School, Class of 1951. He served with the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. He enjoyed working outside, flower and vegetable gardening and landscaping, doing jigsaw puzzles and going to breakfast at Williams Restaurant with his friends. Jim was an active member of Christ Evangelical Congregational Church, serving "The Blue Church" in many capacities. He was a member of Williams Township Fire Company No. 1 for over 25 years and Marine Corps League, Detachment No. 298. Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, James A. Stackhouse Sr. and his wife, Carlee, of Williams Township; a daughter, Denise A. Drake and her husband, Mark, of Williams Township; two brothers, Frank T. Stackhouse of Green Bay, WI, and Walter E. Stackhouse of Dunedin, FL; 10 grandchildren, James A. Stackhouse Jr. and his wife, Crystal, Jordan, Joshua and Matthew Stackhouse, Brooke, April, Amanda and Emily Drake, Abigail Espenshade and Carrie Frasier, and 23 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Debbie A. Stackhouse, and a sister, Mary Louise McKeithen. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12 in Christ E.C. "The Blue" Church, 2100 Morgan Hill Road, Williams Township. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Easton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ E.C.
