I remember Jim as an honorable and caring man. Living his life with integrity and loving his family greatly. May the love of God hold you close at this time of grief, and may the peace that only He can give be your comfort.

I hadn't had a chance to see Jim really since just after college days and my young life days, but my last memory (of many) with Jim, was having him play guitar at my wedding in 1981. The wedding didn't last, but it was certainly not Jim's fault! He was a very talented and charming man, and no doubt will be missed in many circles.

"We have wonderful memories of working together with Jim on the Portland West Young Life committee" He led the committee with a calm wisdom which he always drew from God's Word. We will remember him as someone who used his resources and talents to bring others into God's kingdom. We will be lifting you all up in our prayers. May God bring you all a peace and comfort beyond understanding.

We knew the Steinfelds growing up in Scappoose. Jimmy was in one class or another since first grade. My dad worked at the post office so he called me "Letters" and I called him "Pickles". Some fond memories were a couple of double dates with Jimmy and Patsy. Jimmy was always a gentleman. I can still remember his laugh. Our heart goes out to the Steinfeld family. I am sure God has a special place for Jimmy. Dennis and Rhonda Barnhurst

I worked with Jim at Steinfeld's Products for 10 years. He was one of the kindest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

My sympathies to Patsy, girls and the entire Steinfeld family. I remember with fondness growing up with the family and picnics at the house to welcome exchange students- May your sorrow soon be overwhelmed with the great memories of Jim!

I didn't have the priviledge of knowing Jim Steinfeld, but in reading his obituary I can see that he was a man who lived well. I like that he was a good husband, dad and grandpa, and that friends were important to him. I really appreciate how he spent his volunteer time, and commend his commitment to Christ. It seems to me that he made a difference in a lot of people's lives. I am sorry for your loss and know he will be missed.
