James Stirewalt Obituary
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm, November 9, 2017, in Herndon VA, at Trinity Presbyterian Church at 651 Dranesville Rd., followed by a reception at the church.
Our sincerest gratitude is extended by Jim's family to his closest friends for all their help and concern shown to him during his long illness. We know he felt deeply grateful to them as well.
Memorial gifts may be made in Jim's honor to Trinity Presbyterian Church of Herndon. Please join us in sharing your condolences and remembrances on the Kyger Funeral Home website at [email protected].

I first met Jim as a kindred spirit at the Carroll Creek Dam in the 1970's. He hosted awesome crab boils at the cabin that was his home on old Monocacy Bottom Road. Jim introduced me to the Society for Technical Communication, the Writers Center, and many other creative endeavors. Jim was a stalwart volleyball player and a good friend that will be missed by all.
