Dear Great Uncle James,
I'm sorry to hear, I know our family was never that close as I began to get older. You and I had the best relationship helping me with pictures I would send and writing me letters. I just wanted to say I love you always Great Uncle James.. I will miss you forever and always!!! Love your great niece..

Vicki,
It has been 20 or 21 years since my wife Toni, and our kids Erinn and Keith, and I went with Jim to Martinez Lake where we met and stayed with Smokey and Judy, then boated up to the campground where Roy's daughter dumped his ashes on that monument to Lonesome, Roy's dog, so the two of them could be together - again.
I think of that trip with such fond memories, especially Smokey's stories about the raccoons. (Our daughter, who was 10 or 11, didn't get much sleep that night because she wanted to see the raccoons.) Jim and I worked on the story together that ran in Arizona Highways, but sadly they didn't run any of the photos Jim took that day.
My wife remembers the nice dinner the four of us enjoyed at that little hole in the wall Italian restaurant.
Several times over the years I thought about trying to contact Jim again, to see where and what he was up to, but the moment and the time just slipped away.
Our prayers are with you and your family.
Kindest personal regards.

I never knew James Tallon, but I know his daughter Rachel, and if a person's measure is how their children turned out I know that Mr. and Mrs. Tallon are great people.

Dear Mrs. Tallon~
Please accept my sincere condolences. You were the best neighbors for a kid to grow up with! I'll never forget that Brit was alway with Mr. Tallon! I have always looked in the AZ Highways for Mr. Tallon's pictures first before reading any of the magazine. Hi were always the BEST!!! Thank you for the GREAT memories!
