James Toney Obituary
Mr. James Robert Toney, 60, of Eden, NC, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022. He was born in Oakland County, Michigan on February 1, 1962 to Lloyd Calvin and Cynthia Ann Yarber Toney. He was a loving man and everybody loved him. He was a loving father and grandfather. Mr. Toney was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan, and he loved working on cars. In addition to his parents, Mr. Toney was preceded in death by a brother, Clayton Toney.
Surviving are his children, Joseph (Stephanie) Toney, Stephanie Duncan and fiance’ David King , and Derrick Ashburn and fiance’ Mandy Burnette; his longtime partner Kay Cardwell; grandchildren, Layla, Austin, Hayden, Zayne, Saydee, Zander, Bentley; sisters, Lillie Cook, Vivian Layne, and Peggy Scarberry; brothers, Mike Toney, Rusty Toney, Wayne Toney, Tommy Toney, Lloyd Toney, Jr., Jack Toney, and Billy Lewis; and lots of nieces and nephews.
His funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at 3:00PM at Gentry Funeral Chapel with Pastor Doug Cockerham officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 6, 2022 from 1:00-3:00PM. Online condolences may be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com. Gentry Funeral Service, 5108 Hwy 601N, Yadkinville, NC 27055 is serving the Toney family.
