James R. Trance Sr.

COLONIE James R. Trance Sr., 80, of Colonie, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, July 27, 2006, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Watertown, N.Y. and was the son of the late Serafino and Irene King Trangucci. Jim was a graduate of Syracuse University and Albany Law School. He was a World War II Navy veteran, having served on the USS Weeden. He was a self-employed attorney, specializing in insurance compensation for many years. Jim enjoyed golf, scrabble and crossword puzzles. He will be remembered for his unique wit and sense of humor. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is the beloved husband of 60 years to Doris S. Trance. He is the devoted father of Samuel (Peggy) Trance, Rosemarie (John) Dooley, James (Wendy) Trance Jr., Michael (Patricia) Trance, Carol (Russ) Stout, Joseph (Giselle) Trance, Timothy Trance and Holly (Tom) Komoroske. He is the brother of Caroline D'Arcangelis. He is also survived by 28 cherished grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Entombment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
