Mr. James Turner, taught at Shades Valley High when I entered as a Freshman in 1972.He was a quiet, reserved man with a big heart. H
He had a zeal for teaching and loved all students without regards to the color of your skin. Mr. Turner was one teacher I never forgot because of his professional demeaner. Rest in Heaven ,Mr. Tuner, take your crown, rest with Angels but they can't crown you until I get to heaven.

I sure remember Mr. Turner at SVHS. Great guy. Class of 1988. Prayers to his family.

I remember Mr. Turner fondly and with great admiration and respect. His efforts to help my child in high school will never be forgotten. He was a fine man and I have no doubt a wonderful father, etc. All who knew him had to have been blessed.

I still remember his announcements at SV, and for several years after I graduated seeing him pass thru my neighborhood in his brown car with the student driver sign teaching someone how to drive. The classes before mine fondly called him Captain Dobey for his looks similar to the Starsky & Hutch character, but that show was when I was in elementary school. He will always be a fond memory of my high school years.
