J.B. and I played Cornet (Trumpet) together in the Butler band. He had a Green Hornet Hudson and was always ready to oblige when someone needed a lift. The last time I saw him he was marching his high school band down the track in front of the grandstand at the Indiana State Fair Band Day back in the 70's. He was an alright guy and I'm sure a great loss to his family and friends. Louis Disinger

JB was a radio operator at the Lafayette Post in 1972 when I started as a trooper. He was a great guy and great radio man. He was supporting voice in the night when you were out there in the dark. He will be missed.

So sorry for your loss. I remember J.B. from the Hall of Music, as I pretty much grew up running around the Hall, with my step dad being an electrician there. J.B. was a great man. Mrs. VanSickle (Nellie) you are in my thoughts and prayers

As a student I worked with Van Sickle at Lobe Playhouse at Purdue University. He was very friendly to me and helped me learn allot. He was always a kind man. With his encouragement along with others I chose to pursue event production as a career. Twenty five years later I am still working in production. Thank you JB.

I remember "JB" K9KRE when he was very active in Amateur Radio. I obtained my Novice License in 1976, WN9UBB, and I always looked forward to drinking coffee with K9KRE, K9SKI and others who were also active.
