James H. Webb Sr.

James "Jim" H. Webb, Sr., age 76, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away on December 13, 2020. He was born in West Chester, PA on May 15, 1944 to the late Hubert A. Webb and Ruth Geraldine (Reed) Webb. Jim graduated from Rising Sun High School class of 1962. After graduating he worked side by side with his father in their family mushroom business. Jim then moved on to being a Rural Route Mail Carrier with the U.S. Postal service. He was the owner and operator of a lawn care service which was named, "Lawn Valet" in Rising Sun, MD. Jim was a member of Janes United Methodist Church, where he sung in the choir for many years. He also sung barbershop which was part of the "Chorus of the Brandywine." Jim was a 50-year member of the Mason's Harmony Masonic Lodge #53 in Port Deposit, MD. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Jim is survived by his sons, James H. Webb, Jr., of Conowingo, MD, and Aaron Reese Webb of Port St. Lucie, FL; brothers, Harold Webb and his wife, Kathy of Havre De Grace, MD and Wayne Webb and his wife, Maralyn of Bel Air, MD; sister, Judy Coudon and her husband, George of Colora, MD; and grandson, David Webb of Conowingo, MD. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert A. Webb and Ruth Geraldine (Reed) Webb; brother, Bobby Webb and sister, Barbara Webb. A graveside service to celebrate Jim's life will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Brookview Cemetery where friends and family may begin to attend at 11:00 AM.
