I was looking up my old friends from Crookston today and was I sad to see Jim had passed. Sorry for your loss. I lost Dolores (Winger) last year in January after 65 years. Jim was a good friend of mine. I too spent a lot of hours with him in that basement house on Bridge St. I have a large family that helps so much and I see you do also. It takes along time Elaine, but you will meet again. I send my love to you and your family.

Remember Jim from the days his folks were living in a basement house on Bridge St. We spent time together during the WWII days - he made me a gun from wood (metal toys were unheard of then) and later in high school he made a kayak in shop class and had to wait 'til spring to get the kayak out of the building (the small winter portico was removed). Always enjoyed our birthday phone calls these past few years. Our prayers go out to you, Elaine, and your family.

Although I never got to know Jimmy too well the few times we were together he was kind, warm, funny. We will be thinking of him and your family as we reflect on this year.

Dear Elaine and Family,
I was so saddened to hear of Jim's death and send my sincerest sympathy. I have so many fond memories of growing up with Jim and sharing phone calls on our birthdays. Jim was one of the kindest persons I ever knew.
