James Wold Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 12, 2025.
James (Jim) Andrew Wold was born on March 14, 1964, in Seattle, Washington, and passed away peacefully on January 29, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee.

Jim was raised in Ballard, and a proud graduate of Ingraham High School's Class of 1982. He honorably served in the United States Army, carrying his commitment to service with pride throughout his life. In 1996, he was initiated into Freemasonry and later served as Worshipful Master at St. John's Lodge in 2008.

His job history had many changes, but he always liked working on machines. After being a long time automobile mechanic, he began working at Boeing, transferring his skills into a role on the 747 program. He was an airplane structures mechanic for several years until he found the field of Building Engineer where he worked until retirement.

He had a deep love of music and attended concerts throughout his life. He learned to play a variety of instruments including piano, guitar, harmonica and the accordion, which was his ultimate favorite. He had the highest admiration for the Allman Brothers.

Jim's greatest love of all were his children Tyler and Torie. From the time they were little, he loved being involved in their many sports activities. Whether it was t-ball, soccer, baseball or basketball, he was always involved as coach or cheering from the sidelines. He was their biggest fan.

He will be remembered for his infectious laugh and sharp sense of humor-qualities that left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He is survived by his son Tyler and daughter Torie, mother Marcia, father Andrew (Barbara), sister Laura (Steve), as well as aunts and many cousins.

He will be laid to rest with honors at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Donations in his name can be made to The American Red Cross.
