James Wright Obituary

Published by Danbury News Times on Aug. 25, 2015.
Wright, James M.
James Michael Wright of Bethel, CT passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 18, 2015. He was born on April 28, 1951 in Danbury, CT.
Jim grew up in Bethel along with his 7 brothers and sisters: William Richard Wright of Chapel Hill, NC, Ellen Bigelow of West Redding, CT, Anne Hugyo of Waterford, CT, Barbara Wright of Salt Lake City, UT, and Phyllis Beardsley, Madeline Burke, and Bryan Wright of Bethel, CT.
His parents, William and Tekla Wright of Bethel, CT, precede him in death.
Jim began his love of travel and adventure at a young age with numerous trips around the United States, Canada and Europe. His favorite place was Venice, Italy, however he loved Hawaii and California. He made California his home until 2001.
The love of his family brought him back to Connecticut where he settled in Southbury for 15 years and until most recently moving to Redding.
Jim loved music, theater, animals and the outdoors. He had a great sense of adventure and was always intrigued by the unknown. He enjoyed time with his siblings, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and brother-in-laws. His quick wit, gentle nature, smile, and blue eyes will be greatly missed.
A private memorial for the family will be held in Redding where James found peace.
Arrivederci Jim!

Wow, my long time childhood friend and dancing partner. I'll never forget our ride home from the 'fore 'n 'aft in Brewster when the State Trooper pulled us over and Jim announced very proudly that "it's my birthday" I thought we were going to jail. (No alcohol involved! ) I will never forget all the fun we had. I will miss him, but will always smile when I think of him.
My condolences go out to the entire family, especially Barbara. Don't know if you remember me. ..
