I am so sorry for your loss! I was a childhood friend from church choir and didn't keep up with Jay, but I will always remember one incident when we were hiking down Horn Peak and some people off in the distance were sliding down a patch of snow. We stopped to watch them and one did not stop at the bottom, but continued bouncing like a rag doll down the rocks below. Jay immediately ran over to see if he could help, even as a young kid,and I remember thinking that he was a good one to go because his dad was a doctor. (childhood logic) It sounds like he continued his life of help and service to others and will be greatly missed by many. My condolences to all who knew and loved him.

Great friend, husband, father, colleague. Honest, humble, loving, faithful, reliable, athletic, friendly, kind. Will be greatly missed by many, especially by me.
