Janet Y. Erickson, a loving wife and mother, died peacefully on Sunday, February 5th, 2017.
Jan grew up in Detroit, Michigan alongside her two beloved brothers, David and Jerry. She graduated from the University of Michigan before marrying Dick Erickson in 1947 and moving to the Bay Area. Jan and Dick lived in Kensington and El Cerrito prior to moving to Rossmoor 12 years ago.
Jan is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Dick Erickson; daughters Sally Mehaffey (Bob) of Lafayette, Hildie Brooks (Ken) of Chandler, Arizona and Becky Erickson of Hudson, Ohio; son John Erickson (Barb) of Walnut Creek; and 7 grandchildren.
The Celebration of Life service will be held on March 17th at 3pm in the Orinda Country Club. Memorial gifts may be made to: Las Trampas Capital Project, 3460 Lana Lane, Lafayette, CA 94549 or the First Congregational Church of Berkeley, 2345 Channing Way, Berkeley, CA 94704.
