Jan Fowler Obituary
Born on September 8, 1962, Jan spent most of her life living in the Atlanta area. She dedicated over two decades to teaching elementary school children, primarily second grade. Her classroom was a place of warmth and creativity, where young minds were nurtured with patience and joy. Jan's kindness and imagination left a lasting impression on countless students and colleagues alike.
Jan's greatest joy came from her family. She shared a devoted marriage with her husband, Tom Fowler. Together they raised three children: Courtney Swinford (husband Ryan), Chase Fowler (wife Moorea), and Hunter Fowler. Jan cherished her role as "Mia" to her eight beloved grandchildren-Cash, Merritt, Emerson, Margo, Rain, Park, Sonnie, and Callahan-each of whom brought immense light into her life.
She was the daughter of JP Jordan and the late Barbara Jordan. Jan was also preceded in death by her brother Steve Jordan. She is lovingly remembered by her sisters Melanie Pager and Denise Moss, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family members in both the Fowler and Jordan families.
Jan's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She loved Jesus deeply and prayed that everyone she encountered would come to know His love as she did. Her devotion radiated through every aspect of her life-from the way she taught to the way she laughed with abandon. Her laugh was unforgettable, joyful and contagious, and it echoed through every room she entered.
Those who knew Jan will remember her for her unwavering kindness, boundless love for others, and steadfast faith. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing that she is now with her Savior.
May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 28, 2025, at 02:00 PM at Valor Christian Academy 4755 Kimball Bridge Rd. Visitation to follow.

Mrs. Fowler was the sweetest and most patient teacher. Cole Dorminey and I have talked about her often over the years when reminiscing about his Bridgeway days. I know she will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Tom, I am so sorry to learn of the untimely passing of Jan. The two of you shared an unconditional love that would be the envy of many while parenting successfully three outstanding children! I wish Courtney, Chase, Hunter and you the peace needed to move forward in your respective lives.
