Jan E. Hamilton

Jan Elizabeth Hamilton, 72, of Sarasota, Florida, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, died on May 16, 2012. Jan and her husband, Dr. John L. Hamilton movd to Sarasota, Fl. in 1976. Dr. and Mrs. Hamilton opened a podiatry practice on Siesta Drive. Jan is survived by her husband, Dr. John L. Hamilton; daughter, Linda, son in law, Mike, Julia, Nancy, Don, Tom and three grandchildren. Jan and her husband were long standing members of the Sarasota Yacht Club and The Meadows Country Club. Jan enjoyed photography, cooking, sailing, traveling around the world, particulary to Central America. Jan loved all animals and everything having to do with nature. Jan was a wonderful artist and craftswoman as many of her friends and family can attest. Jan made many friends over the years and she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Our family would like to thank her friends for their love and support, as well as, the medical professionals who cared for her at Westminster Towers in Bradenton and Tidewell Hospice on 26th Street West Bradenton, Florida. A visitation at Covell's Funeral Home at 4232 26th Streest West, Bradenton on May 23 will begin at 6:00PM followed by a service at 7:00PM.
