Jan Phil Holsheimer passed away peacefully in his Scappoose home Nov. 15, 2018. He was born June 8, 1954 in Portland.
Jan spent his entire life in Scappoose. He graduated from Scappoose High School in 1962. In 1987, in Scappoose Jan married the love of his life, Linda. Together the two shared many adventures. He worked as a mechanic for Horizon Air for 28 years, retiring in 2005.
Jan will always be remembered for being a kind, spiritual man. He had several hobbies including, being an eagle scout and a proficient rag time pianist. He enjoyed golfing, drag racing and car shows. He showed a 2006 Dodge Viper and a 2018 Dodge Demon which he received trophies for. He was also a guide for off shore fishing for 40 years from Fort Canby. More recently he fished from Cabo San Lucas.
Jan leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Linda Holsheimer; his stepchildren, Tim Weight and Lisa Osborne.
Jan Holsheimer will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
There will be no memorial service.

Linda and family,
So sorry for your loss. Jan was an exceptional man. Professionally he was a leader held in high regard and a mentor to many, myself included. It was a privilege to have worked with him and to share friendships. Some of my fondest memories will be of Jan, captaining his boat on the Pacific Ocean and putting us over the salmon like only he could. I know he is navigating on favorable seas now...
