Jane Anzovino, 75 of Nantucket died peacefully and brought to eternal rest on Wednesday, July 31st at Our Island Home with her daughter Michelle by her side, following a long and difficult battle.

Jane was born on June 18th, 1949 on Nantucket to Helena F. Caldwell (Card) and Robert Cary Caldwell. She attended Nantucket Schools and graduated from Nantucket High School in 1968. She pursued her nursing degree at Phelps Memorial Hospital School of Practical Nursing in North Tarrytown, NY, graduating in 1972. It was in that year she met her future husband Thomas Anzovino. They married on October 28th 1973. Later, they welcomed their daughter Michelle Cary Anzovino on August 31st, 1974.

She worked as a Registered Nurse at Phelps Memorial Hospital and Mallory Battery, now known as Duracell in North Tarrytown. When Jane and her family returned to Nantucket in 1981 she became a police officer for the town of Nantucket. She held a position working for her father at Harbor Fuel, and Finast in the produce department. She spent many years working as a land surveyor along side John J. Shugrue.

Jane was a die-hard Patriots and Red Sox fan. Jane loved everyone and everyone loved Jane. Especially Heidi Holdgate who was like a daughter to her, and Chele Haynes her best friend.

Jane leaves behind her daughter Michelle Cary Maturo (Anzovino) and her husband Mark Maturo of Wethersfield, CT, many cherished friends and cousins including Robin Jones , Ann Van Arsdale (Jones) Joan Kuklinski (Card) Cindy Robinson (Card), James Card and Mary Lynne Aurilio (Robinson).

She is predeceased by her husband Thomas Anzovino, her mother Helena F. Caldwell (Card), her father Robert Cary Caldwell, her brother Laurence J. Caldwell and her nephews, twin boys, Robert and Christopher Lamb.

Graveside services were held at Prospect Hill Cemetery, on Tuesday August 6th. A reception followed at Faregrounds.
